Buying frenzy at Aberaman House
It’s 8am and there is already a queue forming for the anticipated release. The doors don’t open until 11am, yet there is no stopping more people joining the queue, many with cash, praying they will be the first to grab their desired choice.
No, this isn’t the release of the latest iPhone or movie blockbuster. This queue is for the release of phase two of Aberaman House. For over 12 months we have had a waiting list for the release of the second phase of the popular development, so we knew that interest was high, but we couldn’t have anticipated what was to unfold.
Aberaman House is a beautiful development of homes with generous gardens. Aberaman House was built by the highly respected developer Davies Homes, known for their quality of build; due to their reputation in the area their homes are always highly sought after.
Phase one of the development sold extremely quickly, and the waiting list has continued to grow in anticipation of the phase two release. With only 11 houses available, and strong demand for the higher end house types, we opened the doors on Friday the 12th May at 11am.
The majority of those through the door were cash buyers, many from the local area; within an hour and a half we had sold 7 of the 11 houses. There were some disappointed buyers who wanted a specific plot that was unfortunately purchased by someone earlier in the queue. The waiting list for phase three is already growing, although we have no idea of a release date at this time.
We still have a number of potential buyers we are working with, and expect the remaining four properties to be sold soon. The plots available at the time of writing are:
Plots 3, 23 and 24 are of the Ascot house type, a pretty three-bedroom semi-detached home with garage. Each has a good sized kitchen, a large lounge, and downstairs WC. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, the master being en suite, and a family bathroom. It’s a great family home, on the market for £159,950.
We also have one remaining Knightsbridge house on plot 7, a beautifully designed large four-bedroom detached home with double garage, on the market for £269,950. The layout of this executive home is idea for a modern family with a great kitchen and breakfast room leading onto the garden, a separate dining room, living room, and a small study. Upstairs there are 4 great sized bedrooms, two being en suite, and two with a 'Jack & Jill' en suite bathroom to share.
