Diana's verse for National Poetry Day

Thursday 6 October was National Poetry Day, which kicked off with a broadcast on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme, featuring a reading of a Seamus Heaney sonnet by HRH the Prince of Wales. Our very own Diana Waite from our Chepstow branch decided to turn her hand to writing her own poem as part of the celebration.

We get up early every day, we come to work, that’s how we play

The doors are open, the smiles are wide; hey, we sell houses, come look inside

Our 13 branches are here to assist, if you need a rental we can give you a list

If you need to sell, Bidmead do it with flair,

We’ll even video your lovely home, and get it on the web to share

Selling’s our game and Bidmead’s our name, we’ll never let you down

Our touch screens are in all of our windows, in 13 high street towns

If you need a financial advisor, then book in to see one of ours

Our team are here to help you, come sun, come snow, come showers

If you’re searching for that perfect home you’ll never feel alone

Come register your details, we’ll keep you posted by email, text or phone

We’ll sort solicitors for you, be there to hold your hand

We’ll book in your first viewing, for that property in high demand

We’re Bidmead Cook, we’re one big team and we are on your side

From Aberdare to Lydney our net is cast so wide

We’d love to sell your beautiful home, or find you your perfect dream

So give us a call at the office, and speak to one of the team ?
