Gone in a flash.................
It is not often a property sells before we have had time to advertise it, but that’s exactly what happened with 4 Chestnut Close, Mile End. We asked Michelle Stephens, our Senior Sales Negotiator at our Coleford branch, to tell us the story.
“The property was a rental that we were managing on behalf of the landlord. He decided that he wanted to sell and instructed us to undertake a valuation. He asked that his the property be placed on the market as soon as possible, so I went to take some photographs.
As I stood outside with my camera, a past client, who has previously bought buy-to-let property with Bidmead Cook, passed by and enquired as to what I was doing. I informed him that the property was going on the market and he asked for the listing price. Within the hour it took for me to finish photographing the property and returning to the office, he had made an offer, which had been accepted.”
Incredible work by our Coleford office, and one very happy client.
Since the introduction of the stamp duty surcharge earlier this year on second properties, there has been a lot of speculation as to its impact on the buy-to-let market. We can now safely say that although there was an initial pause, it is back to business as normal.
