This month continuing our Up close and personal series we head to Gloucestershire and the heart of the Forest of Dean to discover more about our Cinderford team.

Name: Kirsten Sutherland

Occupation:  Branch Manager  Specialist Subject: Property in Cinderford

What do you love most about Cinderford?  I would have to say the people. Everyone in Cinderford is so friendly, and never too busy to stop and chat.

What got you into property? My husband was actually the manager in my office and offered me a part-time job. I loved it so much that when he left to go to a different company I took over his role.

What is the advantage of using Bidmead Cook?  We have a large network of offices, yet each individual office employs local people with local knowledge.

What’s your favourite property TV programme? Location, Location, Location, because I love the way Kirstie and Phil complement each other.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Anywhere by the sea.

What snacks do you keep in your desk drawer? Chocolate. Always chocolate.

What is your second love, next to property of course?  Going away on holidays. I love to visit new places.

Name: Mandy Cooper

Occupation: Sales Negotiator Specialist Subject: Property in Cinderford

What do you love most about Cinderford? Cinderford was once considered the poorer place to live in the Forest of Dean, but that opinion has changed drastically over the last couple of years.

What got you into property? Possibly the fact that I have moved so many times myself. I know that I can make the best of a house. I am good at sales and can see potential in any property. I can generally give good advice on what can be done with a property someone is considering.

What is the advantage of using Bidmead Cook? Working with a great team.

What’s your favourite property TV programme? Move to the Country.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? The Forest of Dean – truthfully!

What snacks do you keep in your desk drawer? Biscuits.

What is your second love, next to property of course? Being outside.

Name: Charlotte Gardner

What do you love most about Cinderford? There is so much to do in the local area - providing we have some nice weather - all of which are in close proximity to Cinderford. I love places like Beechenhurst, Wenchford, Linear Park - I could go on, but all are so close to this lovely little town.

What got you into property? I love being able to see all of the different properties and the wonderful character that some of them have.

What is the advantage of using Bidmead Cook? That we are such a fantastic and dedicated team, who all work together for the client.

What’s your favourite property TV programme? Homes Under the Hammer.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I love living in the Forest of Dean, although a bit more sunshine wouldn’t go amiss!

What snacks do you keep in your desk drawer? Chocolate - always chocolate!!

What is your second love, next to property of course? Exploring with my two children.

Name:  Nicky Simmons

Occupation:  Part-time Sales Negotiator  Specialist Subject: Property in Cinderford

What do you love most about Cinderford? I have noticed since working here and viewing properties how many nice areas there are with good views over woodlands. It’s a thriving town with friendly people.

What got you into property?  Being an estate agent was always a job I fancied, as I love being nosey and looking around other people’s houses. Being made voluntarily redundant from my job in a high street bank after 30 years gave me the push that I needed to give it a try. I love it.

What is the advantage of using Bidmead Cook?  Access to the touchscreens really impresses people, and sets us apart from other agents in the area.

What’s your favourite property TV programme? Location, Location, Location.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would love to live somewhere overlooking the sea. Although I can’t ever imagine leaving the Forest of Dean.

What snacks do you keep in your desk drawer? Chocolate. If it lasts long enough to get in the drawer!

What is your second love, next to property of course?  Cars/motorsports. Having a hubby who is rally co-driver and a 17-year-old son who also wants to get involved, I need to be interested too.

What got you into property? An opportunity came up when I was younger in a local estate agents, and I could see a future in the business for me… 10 years on and I still love working with properties, although 18 months ago I took on a new challenge and decided to swap from sales to lettings.

What is the advantage of using Bidmead Cook? The great teams that work throughout the 14 branches, who all go above and beyond.

What's your favourite property TV programme? Has to be Grand Designs… I love getting ideas for when I come to build my mansion ha ha!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Somewhere warm where I can feel the sand between my toes.
